An advocate-driven group to person-centered practices, self-determination, and systems change. This is a space where individuals served can build leadership skills, share their lived experiences and unique perspectives, advocate for themselves and others, and actively participate in shaping the systems and services that impact their lives.
Through a collaboration between individuals with disabilities, families, and service providers, the goal of the Empower Now Group, is to ensure that people with disabilities have access to exercise choice, direct their own lives, build their advocacy skills, and influence the decisions and systems that affect them.
This work is grounded in the belief that people with disabilities are the experts in their own lives and should be at the center of advocacy, decision-making, and systems change.
