**SPECIAL NOTICE: Effective February 2020, the SG/PRC Board of Directors will have a new committee meeting schedule. Please note the following changes to the dates and times for some of their committee meetings.**
Board of Directors Meeting
Meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.
Each regional center is governed by a board made up of volunteers from the community. The Board of Directors sets policy and direction for the regional center.
Other Board Committee Meetings
Vendor Advisory Committee - Meets on the 1st Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
This committee is made up of individuals from the vendor community who provide services to our regional center clients. Provides information to the board of directors to effect changes in policy that are beneficial to the delivery of services to the client population, and conducts public presentations to help familiarize vendors with policies and procedures which effect the delivery of client services.
**NEW MEETING TIME**
Strategic Development Committee - Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
This committee shall be responsible for the recruitment, screening and selection of candidates for the Board of Directors consistent with laws, regulations, and these By-laws. The Committee shall recommend its selections for any vacancy on the Board and Committee appointments. The Committee is also responsible for ongoing Board training and strategic planning. The Committee will propose strategic development and policy action to the full board for approval.
Executive/Finance Committee - Meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m.
This committee is made up of the Officers of the Organization. This committee shall exercise powers on behalf of the Board of Directors between regular Board Meetings, with the exception of certain areas specified in the Bylaws.
**NEW MEETING TIME**
Community Relations/Legislative Committee - Meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
The goal of the committee is to inform the community of the needs of persons with developmental disabilities by assisting and planning in the coordination of public relations and public education events. Also reviews pertinent legislation and sends recommendations to the full board for approval as to the position regional center should take regarding critical issues.
Client Services Advisory Committee - Meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
This committee is concerned with all aspects of services provided to clients and families of the regional center. This involves both the direct services of client program coordination as well as the services other agencies provide. This committee makes recommendations to improve the quality of services to clients and families.
