DDS Rate Study – Comments on the Rate Study Due by April 5, 2019
Per the Welfare and Institutions Code, section 4519.8, DDS must submit to the California legislature a rate study on the provision of services for individuals with developmental disabilities. DDS contracted with the firm of Burns & Associates Inc., a national health policy consulting firm, to complete the rate study. Burns & Associates has now completed the rate study, and DDS will be presenting the rate study to the legislature on or about March 1, 2019. Two briefing sessions on the release of the rate study, were given during the week of February 25th. To see a recorded version of the briefing session, click here. With the upcoming release of the rate study, DDS and Burns & Associates are seeking comments from the vendor community, families, clients and interested parties. SG/PRC and the Vendor Advisory Committee strongly encourage all interested parties to review the rate study materials, including the proposed rate models and provide comments by April 5, 2019.
